This summer I took up a new hobby. I love refurbishing broken or old furniture. Now seeing I can't thread a bobbin couch cushions or anything dealing with fabric are out of the question :)
My uncle passed recently and I he had a lot of nice things except they were somewhat broken or missing a critical piece. My first piece was a wrought iron table without a top. This is what I did with it.
I wanted to take a piece of the Arizona sunset and scenery wherever I go.
My next project was a wrought iron swinging bench that really didn't have a flat surface to sit on.
The table you see behind the bench also did not have a top so I fixed that and gave it to my Aunt.
My Uncle also had this coffee table from Mexico. It was light wood and one of the doors that opened was broken off and so was one of the feet to the table. I fixed both of those and stained it.
I will be staining two more end table to match that are also from Mexico.

New Hair... New Start.... New State!
David and I are packing up and hitting the road! I recently got the entry level engineering job I so desperately wanted. It took awhile but I am blessed to say I know have a J-O-B!!! I'll be working as a civilian for the U.S. Air Force in Georgia! David and I are saying ADIOS to Tucson and HOWDY to Georgia! We are both very excited but September is coming quick so there is a lot of planing and chaos ahead. I think we'll handle it just fine. So with my new start and new state I decided to also go blond... So far I have been having a little more fun!
No mom... I didn't cut it short its just up...Here is the proof

Because It makes my Dad proud....
As promised to my dad I will post his few pictures of his recent hunting and fishing excursions with my brother. Wish I was there for the fishing part. I think I would have peed my pants if I was there when you two where stuck in a tree while a grizzly was hunting you. Ironic... the hunters became the hunted. Luckily you two are safe and the grizzly left y'all untouched.
This picture is of my brother and his black bear which is now a rug.
This is my brother with his friend Trevor. These are the king salmon they caught while dip net fishing on Dad new boat!
At home letting the smell of fish smell up moms porch. She couldn't get it to go away for days!
